Businesses in Herefordshire and Worcestershire are looking forward to a bright future, according to the latest economic survey.
West Midlands UKIP MEP James Carver has welcomed the findings revealed in the quarterly Chamber of Commerce survey.
Mr Carver, a member of the European Parliament’s Regional Development Committee, said: “It is great to hear that many companies have increased their turnover and more than a quarter are employing more people than they did three months ago.”
Forty-six per cent of companies across the two counties report an increase in domestic sales and 42 per cent a rise in sales to markets outside the UK.
Mr Carver added: “I endorse the comments of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership chief executive Gary Woodman that this shows companies are getting back to business following the uncertainty around the Spring Budget and when Article 50 was going to be triggered.”
