West Midlands UKIP MEP James Carver has congratulated three Worcestershire businesses who have been recognised among the UK’s fastest growing businesses.
Worcester-based Gtech is ranked 11th and Lioncourt Homes 16th in the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 league table for 2017.
Kidderminster-based Brintons Carpets is a new entrant to the list, placed 67th, after strengthening its residential markets in Britain, Australia and Poland.
Mr Carver, who lives in Worcester and has offices in Kidderminster, said the success of the companies was “great news” for the region.
He said: “I am delighted these innovative and forward-looking companies have gained such high rankings in a national table.
“Their achievements fly in the face of fears of uncertainty surrounding Brexit and I am particularly pleased to see Brintons’ success in world markets.”
Mr Carver, a member of the European Parliament’s Regional Development Committee, said the companies listed in 2017 league table had achieved a higher average rate of profit growth than any previous Profit Track 100 table.
“This adds further proof that our business economy is healthy and will continue to grow and to thrive as we regain our sovereignty,” he said.
