Irish border issue is a red herring

So we waited with baited breath following the promise of some innovative solution that no-one else had thought of to the so-called  Irish border conundrum from Brexit Tory MPs today – And the answer?  “Established technology and modification of existing arrangements”.

Yes, that’s what Brexiteers have been saying all along –  the challenge is an unnecessary red herring. We have the ability and capability for trade to continue between Northern Ireland, Eire and the rest of the UK without a hard border. Can we get on with this please?

There is no need for physical checks, Brexiteer MPs say, if "established" procedures are used.
