MPs must support the Withdrawal Bill to avoid a “chaotic” exit from the European Union, insists West Midlands UKIP MEP James Carver.
Speaking as the Commons prepares for today’s Second Reading, he said: “The Bill is expected to proceed despite out-of-step Corbyn attempting to whip Labour MPs.
“I would urge them to follow the lead of rebel left-wingers who have listened to their constituents in how they voted in the referendum and understand the views of their working-class supporters.
“All MPs must respect the will of the British people and acknowledge that they did not vote for confusion in last year's referendum.”
