The Brexit deal agreed early today will make the UK subservient to EU rules and regulations and hinder our ability to trade on an equal footing – this is not what the electorate voted for, said West Midlands UKIP MEP James Carver.

He added: "Having said that, there is still a long way to go and the final deal still must be agreed by the European Parliament, and I don’t expect members will approve it."
