PM calls General Election

I am surprised the PM has called this election but it is clearly an indication that she believes a large proportion of MPs are choosing to ignore the will of the people who voted in last year's referendum.

For UKIP it will be a chance for my party to underline its relevance which has been continually questioned since the Brexit vote.

Personally speaking, I am considering my options, having already been approached to stand in a number of constituencies, but as I am sure you'll appreciate it's too early to make a decision.

Mary McGinn's reply...

Having UKIP and Tories in could split the vote and allow one of the other parties to get in, the youngsters are going for Lib Dems. I,m with UKIP at heart but think I will vote Tory have never voted for them in my life

I really think that UKIP should step down from this one unless Nigel comes back as leader, which unfortunately wont happen
